Aiden McGeady is a wank
Surely he's taking the piss - he used to go on holiday to Donegal so he wants to play for Ireland? My folks took me to Waterford when I was a kid, can I get a game Mr Kerr?
McGeady is a disgusting wee glory-hunting f*cker who wants to play for Ireland because he thinks he'll get to the World Cup more often. Does he think his "hero" (my arse) Roy Keane would be playing for Scotland if the Republic were as shite as they were in the 70s and he had a granny from Methil? No he wouldn't, because Keane might be a b*stard but he's got a bit more dignity and pride than that.
Aiden is unique among Ireland's "imports" because the rest of them would never have got a game for their home teams - it was Ireland or nothing, and I'm sure most of them would have picked England over Ireland had they had the chance.
So f*ck off McGeady, Ireland can have you, and I feel sorry for them.

As a true non-bluenose, I echo Mr Williamson's comments here. The boy McGeady is a stupid wee c**t (to put it politely) who will come to learn his lesson when it's too late. Now I'm personally not too big on nationalist sentiment, but seriously - what the f**k does it take for wee shites likes this to think that there's some greater glory playing for Ireland, where football is not even the most popular sport, than their home country? Okay, so Fletcher may not be lifting the Euro championship trophy aloft in 2008 but let's face it, neither will McGeady, Miller et al. Mr McGeady, GTF!

Scotland are pish at the moment; but as a Scot I would always, always jump at the chance to play for them if offered.

I think its really crap that everyone is arguing over aiden wanting to play for another country. he is playing in honour of his grandad and personally i feel he made the right choice. He will get more chances to play in better games with higher prospects with ireland and even though I love being scottish, I would prefer to playu for ireland. At the end of the day it was his decision to play football professionally and so he should be allowed to play for whichever team he wants to professionally.
