Keeper of the faith

And the other side of Timdom... a slightly more bitter account of today's events although deep down I think this writer knows he's doing it more for show than anything else. I do like the Lovelypants/Lovenkrands gag though.

[Oh and Orc Watcher: I'd rather be an Orc watching Rankers than a Celtic fan watching any Celtic team, not just a piss-poor one.]

Jinky's Oars

Not a bad wee site if you're looking to keep up with all things Timalicious, and intelligently piss-takes the blue side of Weegietown.

Visit - Jinky's Oars

I have to laugh at one of the stories in the "What's new" section - July 1st - complaining about the slope on the Fir Park pitch. Yet another excuse for the events of Helicopter Day?

The Little Magician

Celtic may have a lead in the Japanese market but there are no doubt some punters wantering around Trinidad (and Tobago) with Falkirk tops on...

Do this if you have a Mac and are into Celtic Schadenfreude

Go to this page, select any paragraph, select 'Services/Speech/Start Speaking Text' from the 'Safari' menu, then sit back and enjoy.

Voice is a bit Stephen Hawking but the intonation is perfect.

Geek extra: Go to system preferences and find the speech pane - you can do it in different voices at different speeds...

Yen yearnings, Won wanted?

Looks like Celtic stole a march on the Gers with their Nakamura signing... I'd always thought there was potential (though perhaps not as much as thought) in getting a Japanese player into the SPL.

This old article from the Scotsman hints that Rangers were looking to tie up a marketing deal, but signing a player is a more sure-fire way of getting in the press over there. Celtic should be able to shift enough jerseys - if they market it right - to cover the cost of the transfer, and steal a march on the Gers as being the 'Scottish club' in Japan. Maybe Rangers will shift their attention to South Korea? Although they probably think all Scottish footballers are diddies given the 4-1 humping dished out in Busan in 2002.

Strachan Dream Team

I'll bet Gordo is wishing he could pull in a few of these guys to help him out... and does McLeish know he only makes the bench?

A wee poem

There was a wee ginger called Strachan,
In tactics he was found to be lacking,
As the fifth hit the net,
He placed a wee bet,
On the quickest time for the sacking.

Europe

Brilliant... you need sound, and don't play it at work, unless there are Sellik fans nearby:

No, it would be too easy

In the spirit of reconciliation, I offer this up to any Tims not hanging from the rafters this morning after the 5-0 drubbing from, errm, who was it again?

I do have to point out that getting gubbed 6-0 by Real Madrid in their prime is one thing, but humped 5-0 by a team I'd literally never heard of prior to this draw, well, that's just embarrassing. Sorry, did I say I wasn't going to gloat?

Steve Archibald and Top of the Pops

Can you imagine either of Spurs or Scotland having reason to produce a record these days...
